Today I mis-spelled Emails

That isn't actually true. It was more of a grammar mistake. The sentence was, 'I am writing email'. At first, I read it and thought 'ah shit another mistake' sense I sent it in an instant message window. But then I kept reading it. "I am writing email" 'I am writing email'. After a while I thought, what if email was a mass noun. After saying it ten times it started to sound right, passing the ear test. Email being a mass noun would make perfect sense. Then though, why couldn't it be a mass noun? The word is only around 30 years old, I can make that transition. It sounds more regal as a mass noun. Then I thought of why it sounds correct. It hit me of course, because 'mail' is a mass noun.

From now on, I will treat 'email' as a mass noun, just like the word where it was derived from, 'mail'.
