Life in 16bit Color

Wait not 'life'.

It seems my computer is expectedly not adapting to a more aggressive resource heavy internet landscape. For a made up statistic somewhere around 90% of the things I do, the computer is fine. But when it comes to script heavy web pages, this computer will stutter at times. A lot of forums, message boards are now switching over to vBulletin 4 or whatever its rivals equivalent is. While offering no extra content to the end user, the pages are slower to load with older devices.

It has come to this point. For greater speed I must switch over to a world in 16bit color. World as in the computer. The color pallet I see is diminished, though it was already crippled from the display monitor not achieving all 4.2 billion colors of the 32bit pallet, which would still be limited since I, as a human, can only see about 10 million distinct colors.

My hopes are in the next generation of browsers, firefox4 or chrome 7, which will have gpu acceleration. Currently none of the stable releases use it, my Radeon 9600 needs some work to do.
